Niki here with The Tanna Group. As you can see, this week's video is going to be filmed in the car. Well, that's okay. I am actually in the car pickup line for my kids Elementary School. Usually I get my videos done earlier in the day and you have a nice backdrop to look at, in case you don't enjoy the content. But today, just car, but let's go ahead and get down to it.
How many of you are like me and are super busy this time of year? Do you think that just getting everything taken care of is just taking all the time out of your day? And what about these allergies that are happening in North Texas? I mean, come on. I must be living off of Benadryl by now. But you know what I was able to do. On Sunday, I had the worst allergy attack, it seems like I've ever had. And I know it's because of all of the pollen that's floating around and the ragweed and Dallas Fort Worth. And then I remembered how I wanted to go to the doctor, but oh gosh, it's Sunday, what am I going to do. And so I looked on the back of my insurance card and remembered that I have access to a tele medicine option. My plan is with Blue Cross Blue Shield, and they offer MD live as a service under their insurance program.
MDLive gives you 24/7 access to a doctor to help treat many of your common ailments. So I was able to get in touch with the doctor and he was able to prescribe me a hardcore antibiotic from the pharmacy. Today I woke up still having allergies. But luckily that that allergy medication is helping alleviate the issue. I'm so busy and all of the doctors offices are so busy that I know that I wouldn't have been able to see my primary care practitioner in at least a week and a half and by then my allergies would have been cleared up. I'm so happy that I had the option to call a doctor and be able to receive a prescription for allergy medication.
Telemedicine. . . There's many kinds of telemedicine out there, there's MDLive, there's Web MD, there's now there's a thing called K Health. There's all kinds of options. Some of them you can file against your insurance, and some of them you can pay just a regular monthly charge to have access to speak to a doctor whenever you need.
